Attendance
ABSENCIES
Student/Pupil who is absent from the class must comply the following requirements upon reporting back to school.
Present the admission slip (in this Handbook) duly signed by the parents/guardians to the office of the Principal/Prefect of Students/Guidance Counselor before he/she will be admitted in the class.
In case a student/pupil might not be able to accomplish such, the adviser then will notify the parent/guardian through this Handbook about the concern. The student/pupil must then present the Admission Slip to the Prefect of Students/Principal/Guidance Counselor the following day upon reporting back to class.
Absence does not excuse the pupil/student from doing his/her assignments, quizzes, projects, etc. He/She is held responsible for all the lessons missed due to his/her absence.
A pupil/student who leaves the classroom without permission from the teacher and remains outside for more than five (5) minutes will be marked absent.
Parent/Guardian must notify the school in case of prolonged absences due to illness. He/She should present his/her Doctor’s Certificate together with the Admission Slip upon reporting back to class.
A pupil/student is considered dropped upon accumulating ten (10) consecutive unexcused absences.
A pupil/student who accumulates absences equivalent to twenty percent (20%) of the total number of school days for the whole academic year is considered dropped from the enrollment.
