GRADING SYSTEM
Grading system from Nursery to Senior High School is pursuant to the Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 8, s. 2015 - Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the K to 12 Basic Education Program and the Academic Standards of Sto. Niño Catholic School, Inc. Thus, we adhere to the following conditions:
There are four (4) grading periods for Nursery to Junior High School. For Senior High School the first two quarters determine the first semester and the last two quarters determine the second semester.
There are three major components (written works, performance tasks and quarterly assessment) in grading each learner.
For Nursery and Kinder, letter grade is indicated in their report card. Each letter grade has a corresponding transmuted numeric grade.
The Character Building is graded using a scale of 1-20 based on the 14 Character Traits stated in SNCS Core Values where letter symbols with a corresponding transmuted grades are used such as A, B, C and D.
The passing grade in any subject is 75%.
A pupil or student is promoted to the next level if he/she gets an average grade of 75% and passing grades in all the subject areas/disciplines.
